All new students take a placement test before their first class to confirm the right level. You can take it online in advance or on your first day. The test checks grammar, writing, listening, and speaking, and we’ll confirm your level after you finish.

There are progress tests for all students every two weeks, enabling our teachers to closely monitor learning and to guide and support each student more effectively. There are also fortnightly tutorials, during which individual learning targets are discussed and reviewed.

You can pay your fees by Flywire or bank transfer. Once payment is confirmed, we can process your enrolment and (if needed) prepare your acceptance letter.

Daily costs depend on your lifestyle, but here’s a realistic guide for students in Oxford:

  • Local bus travel is usually around £18 per week for a SmartZone bus pass.

  • For lunches and typical entertainment, £50–£100 per week is usually enough.
If you plan to travel to other UK cities or go out most nights, budget extra. For local events and things to do in Oxford, check Daily Info Oxford and Visit Oxford.

After you apply (online or by form) and we receive confirmation of payment, we will issue your acceptance letter. We can send it by post or fax (or both), but many British Embassies require original documents.
If you need it urgently, we can send it by DHL courier (currently £50). If your visa is refused, you’ll receive a refund of your school fees except the registration fee.

Some students study for as little as one week, some for one year or more. It simply depends on the student and their individual needs.

You can start your course on any Monday, giving you flexible start dates throughout the year.
