Frequently asked questions.

How can I register with your school?

Simply choose Enrol Now from the top menu.

What is my level?

All new students must take a placement test before they start. You can take the test in advance online, or on your first day. The test checks your level in grammar, writing, listening and speaking. After the test we will tell you your level.

How can I pay the fees?

By FlyWire or by Bank Transfer

How much money will I need for daily expenses?

This depends on what you want to do. Travel in Oxford by bus is likely to be about £18 per week for a Smart Zone bus pass. £50-100 will be more than enough for lunch and entertainment, but if you want to visit other cities and go out most nights, then you will need more. For a better idea of entertainment costs, see dailyinfo.co.uk and visitoxford.org

When can I receive an acceptance letter?

After you have returned the application form or enrolled online, and we have received confirmation of payment, we will send you an acceptance letter. This can be sent to you by post or by fax or both. Please note, however, that most British Embassies will accept only original documents. If you need your letter urgently, we can send it by DHL Courier. The current cost of this is £50. If your application for a visa is refused, you will receive a complete refund of your school fees except the registration fee.

When can I start my course?

You can start your course on any Monday.

Is the school close to public transport?

The school is in the heart of the city centre, so all public transport is nearby.

Can I use the internet in school?

Of course! The school has lots of laptops for students to use free of charge, please speak to reception. We have Wi-Fi access, so you can connect with your own laptop.

What is the procedure if I need a visa?

Please follow the guidance on the English UK website for more information on which visa, if any, you will need to study at OSE.
